Frequently Asked Questions

All the bridal makeup answers you need to achieve your dream look!

Q. Do you require a wedding makeup and hair trial run?

No, we do not require one but highly recommend a trial with our Tampa Makeup Artist and Hair Team. Doing a trial run will help ensure that you are happy with your makeup/hair look before the big day. You don't want to have to worry about that on the day of your wedding. Having your trial run behind you, you can sit back and relax on your wedding day knowing that you love the look that you chose.

Q. When should I schedule a trial run for my wedding?

We recommend brides to come three months or 4 months before. If you are able, this is a great opportunity to really work together to design your dream look and see how it wears on you throughout the day. If you are a destination bride, we can schedule your trial the few days before the wedding or a time when you are in town or schedule more time the day of the wedding.

Q. What can I expect during my trial?

For the trial, we ask our Tampa brides to arrive with a moisturized, clean face and one day dirty dry hair. We will discuss your vision for your wedding hair and/or makeup and look at inspiration pictures. The trial helps us understand your vision and also learn about your hair and skin type. From there, we will work together to create the perfect look for your wedding day so you can feel confident walking down the aisle. Make sure to bring your jewelry, veil, hair extensions and hair accessories to your trial so you can see your whole vision.

Q. I love what I see! How soon should I book my wedding day services?

Definitely, as soon as possible. Some brides book with Tampa Makeup Artist and Hair Team, Renee DiNella Artistry over a year in advance. We book dates on a first come, first-serve basis.

Q. I am not sure what makeup look I want. Can you help?

Definitely!! If you are not sure what you are wanting, our Tampa Makeup Artist and Hair Team would love to help. We try our best to ask a variety of questions to get an idea of what you may want. It’s important for us to understand your comfort level with makeup. We also want to understand your style and even your culture.

Q. Do you use airbrush makeup?

Yes! Our Tampa, FL makeup artists specialize in Airbrush makeup. We use the brand Temptu for all of our airbrushing.

Q. Do you provide services for large parties?

Yes, we can accommodate as many as possible. Depending on timing and other factors, with more than 6-7 people, we will book 2 or more artists to cut down on time.

Q. About how long does it take you to do each service?

Bride Makeup: 60-90 Minutes

Bridal Hair: 60-90 Minutes

Bridesmaids/Other Hair and Makeup: 45-60 Minutes

ADDITIONAL SERVICES WILL TAKE EXTRA TIME (SUCH AS: TATTOO COVER, HAIR EXTENSION APPLICATION). These are approximate times, and additional time may still need to be added into wedding or event day timelines.

Q. What accommodations are needed on site on my wedding day for hair and makeup?

Our hair and makeup artists will need some table space, an outlet and a chair per artist. Makeup artists need a bar stool height chair and hairstylists need a standard height chair.
